Ingredients
- 2 ½ c sugar
- ¾ c shortening
- 5 Eggs
- 5 ripe bananas, mashed
- 4 ¾ c sifted flour
- 2 ½ t salt
- ½ t baking soda
- 3 t baking powder
- ¾ c nuts
- ¾ c milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 °F, place rack in middle of oven.
- Grease two 5x9 loaf pans or four small loaf pans.
- In a mixer, cream sugar and shortening together until light in color and fluffy.
- Add eggs and bananas and mix well.
- Blend in flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and nuts.
- Add milk, mix until all ingredients are combined.
- Pour into prepaed loaf pans.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean and tops are browned.
